The Batman Family is a group of heroes associated with Batman. Generally, they operate out of Gotham City.
The "family" is a network of allies Batman can depend upon as a vital resource. Among these are Commissioner James Gordon of the Gotham City Police Department,; Dick Grayson (Nightwing), the original Robin; Jason Todd, the second Robin; the current Robin, Tim Drake; Batgirl, AKA Barbara Gordon, Alfred Pennyworth, Cassandra Cain, Dr. Leslie Thompkins, and even Catwoman. On rare occasions, Superman may be treated as a sort of auxiliary member -- truly rare occasions.
